''EVERY HUMAN IS A MESS''
Galerie Derouillon, Haut Marais
38 rue Notre Dame de Nazareth, 75003
November 27th, 28th, 29th - 7 to 8p.m
At once an independent label and an ambitious project of collective improvisation, EVERY HUMAN IS A MESS resonates like an electric, almost cathartic motto. Initiated by Janoya and developed parallel to his group Fungi, the project brings together musicians of diverse backgrounds in an experimental and performative dialogue. Their communion resounds as a “call to noise,” seeking to embrace not only the differences but also the resonances of each and every one.
Through this invitation to live performance, EVERY HUMAN IS A MESS reminds us that we are not disjointed atoms, but rather the common elements of a single, vibrant whole. The project invites us to engage with the multiplicity of factors and dynamics underpinned by the complexity of individuals—a complexity that continually puts itself to proof through the challenges of representation. More than a message, it is a medium of tolerance and love, a poetic way to address the issues of coexistence and its fragility.
The performance unfolds in three acts, spread across three evenings, and articulated through three distinct genres—ambient, electronic noise, and experimental jazz—in varied yet complementary forms. It is as much a meeting of genres as it is a convergence of practices and personalities.
