"Un printemps incertain"
From drawings to objects, manifesto texts and posters, this exhibition, woven through the course of modern and contemporary galleries, aims to create a dialogue between works produced during confinement and other, more reflective explorations during this long period of indecision, hesitation, disquiet or creativity.
"Un printemps incertain" is a simple presentation of this unexpected parenthesis of isolation, estrangement, solitude and reunion. Some created in silence, while others worked in the hubbub of family life, but all, through their creations, opened up unsuspected horizons. These months and weeks were a unique experience, for the creators as well as for the museum itself and its teams. Never since 1939, excluding periods of renovation and work, had the museum been closed for so long and so abruptly, its teams scattered and separated despite the fruitful continuum of meetings and calls.
