ALEXANDRE BENJAMIN NAVET
"Gardens And Landscapes - Carte Blanche To Alexandre Benjamin Navet"
Galerie Derouillon is delighted to announce new Alexandre Benjamin Navet's exhibition organised by the European Parliament Liaison Office in the UK (London) together with the Institut Francais.
This exhibition parallels Alexandre Benjamin Navet’s upcoming solo show related to Parisian gardens and the blooming of colour, at the Galerie Derouillon in Paris this summer.
Investing the Europe House (London), "Gardens and Landscapes – Carte Blanche to Alexandre Benjamin Navet" comes as a desire to get out of the frame, to breath some fresh air in the heart of the city. The ornamentation of columns and decorative panels draws a singular and harmonious perception of the space directly engaging the visitor’s imagination.
For the occasion, two large-size paintings have been produced to create a dialogue and an encounter between Paris and London through the theme of the gardens. After months of lockdown, Alexandre Benjamin Navet reinvents the tradition of landscape panting through a vibrating stroke on a large-scale wallpaper. His drawings echo the shapes of Henri Matisse and the compositions of David Hockney. The thriving colours evoke the delight of being reunited and open bright perspectives for the future.
