For its first-ever participation in Art Basel Miami Beach, Derouillon presents “Soulscape”, a new body of work by Vojtěch Kovařík. Sculpture enters a fair context alongside his paintings for the first time. Drawing on Rivera and Orozco's monumental muralism, Kovařík uses these strategies not to affirm grand narratives but to expose the weight they place on figures that never asked to carry them.
